Orchestra (Jin) Women's

From the selection of costumes to its repertoire, from the arrangements to the conductor… Jinma Women’s Orchestra is working as a unique women’s orchestra. Our orchestra, which consists of female musicians within the body of “Akademi  Ma”, re-arranges traditional melodies, especially female dialect, selected from the Kurdish dialects of Kurmancî, Dimili, Soranî, Lorî, Kelhorî, Hewramî, and presents them to the audience with the voice and color of women. Jinma is the name that women can take part in all stages of musical production process… According to the arrangement of the chosen piece, instruments such as tembur, centur, sêtar, sêtêl (grandfather instrument), tar, bam tar, tambourine, percussion, flute, fiq violin and piano are used in Jinma. Jin ma continues her work with enthusiasm to be a pioneer in this field and to provide musical perspectives where female musicians can express themselves.
